Who's who
KOLs vs Ambassadors
Alright, sers,
you predicted the US election winner last week -> we bet that you just watched Polymarket closely.
But now, let’s put those psychic powers to good use in Web3. Because if you can predict election winners, surely you can spot the right KOLs and Ambassadors to give your project a serious boost, right?
Here’s what’s on the menu:

KOLs vs. Ambassadors: Who’s who and why it matters
Web3 is a noisy world, and being an attention seeker myself I know it’s not easy to grab it.
So, should you go with KOLs or Ambassadors? Both have their place, but here’s the twist: they each bring something completely different to the table.
Let’s break down how these roles stack up
KOLs: These are the big names with major reach, able to get eyes on your project fast. If you’re looking for a visibility boost, KOLs can make it happen. But be warned— their connection to your project can be brief, and their engagement with your community may feel more transactional than genuine.
(And for spotting the fakers, our KOL Intelligence beta is designed for just that. Secret phrase: “mostkolsuck” gets you access with @mtazk on Telegram.)
Ambassadors: Think of these as brand advocates. Ambassadors aren’t just sharing your content—they’re part of your project.
Often members of your target audience, they’re here for the long haul, engaging and connecting with your community regularly. Ambassadors are especially valuable if you want ongoing support that feels genuine to your audience.
The Bottom Line: KOLs = high reach; Ambassadors = real engagement. Combine both, and you’re in for a solid strategy.
Can Ambassadors be your Long-Game MVPs
If you’re in it for the long haul, Ambassadors can be the ones who’ll help you build a community that sticks. Here’s why they’re worth it:
Constant Presence: Ambassadors don’t just show up once and leave; they keep your brand relevant day after day. No “one-hit wonder” hype—just steady support.
Real People, Real Connections: Ambassadors are part of your community. Their genuine excitement about your project is contagious and way more believable than a one-off KOL post. This p2p engagement resonates more deeply with potential users.
Feedback Goldmine: While KOLs are sticking to promo points, Ambassadors give you honest feedback and a real pulse on your community’s thoughts. Need insight into what’s actually resonating? These are your people.
So, Ambassadors sound great, right? But how do you keep track of who’s truly making an impact? That’s where Cookie3 KOL Intelligence comes in.

Tracking Ambassador Impact with Cookie3 KOL Intelligence
Cookie3 KOL Intelligence takes the hassle out of managing your Ambassador program. Here’s how we make tracking Ambassador success as easy as possible:
Quality Over Quantity: Cookie3 doesn’t just look at numbers; we track the quality of engagement to show which Ambassadors are connecting with real people (and not just racking up bot likes).
Ambassador Score: We use engagement and reach metrics to create a score that instantly shows who’s making a real impact. A quick glance tells you who’s bringing the most value.
Content Quality: Cookie3 monitors the types of posts Ambassadors share and how their audience reacts. Are they driving actual conversations? Our content analysis gives you the answers, no endless scrolling required.
Consistency Check: Cookie3 tracks how often Ambassadors post about your project. We highlight who’s all in and who might need a nudge—because consistency is key.
Time on Top: This handy metric shows how long your project’s posts stay visible on an Ambassador’s feed. The longer it stays up, the better the odds for engagement. It’s like “shelf life” for your posts.

If you're wandering the halls of Devcon, keep an eye out for our very own Krysia!
She’s the one rocking the Cookie3 hat, possibly caffeinated beyond reason, and she’s ready to talk Web3.
Approach with caution and say hi. Extra points if you shout “mostkolsuck” as a greeting. 🍪 Go on, we dare you.
She’s tackling Devcon like a pro, and here’s her update straight from the source:
I survived day 2 in Bangkok, rode a scooter taxi (real adrenaline rush), made my way through a local market (and didn’t throw up), and managed to successfully cross the street without being ran over. I call it real achievements ✨✨✨
If I was to give one key takeaway now it would be that DATA is really key and that getting data does not have to be expensive - there are native platform tools you can use and then compliment that with analytics like Cookie3.
As marketers we are hungry for knowledge.
LMMGA (let’s make marketing great again).
Over & out.
And huge props to everyone who took on the Web3 marketing hackathon at Devcon! You proved there’s nothing this community can’t brainstorm.
