Too Hot, Too Far, but immaculate vibes

Token2049 Dubai recap

holaaa,

So, we survived Token2049 Dubai. Our ears are still ringing from rooftop side events, our souls are a little sunburnt, and our Google Maps history is 90% “traffic near Sheikh Zayed Road.”

If you were experience some FOMO, Let’s recap of what token2049 was like from our team's perspective .

“Main Event?” Never Heard of Her.

Let’s be honest: most people didn’t go to Token2049 for the main conference.

Instead, they speedran through a week of:

  • Breakfasts hosted in vibesy cafes (croissants, brand decks, and polite alpha)

  • Hotel lobby panels where 10 people shared 2 mics and 1 opinion

  • Rooftop parties with free drinks and paid FOMO

In short: it was chaos. But fun chaos. Kind of like crypto.

AI Panels Galore (And Everyone Still Unsure)

Speaking of marketing panels, AI was the main character:

  • Can it be creative? (Debatable.)

  • Can it replace marketers? (Unlikely, unless you’re bad at your job.)

  • What can’t it do? (Humor. Originality. Making you look cool on stage.

The best AI insights came from people who’ve actually used the tools here is for example how jin leverages AI.

If you guys want deeper insights and missed the pannel here’s the deck he used during Marketer’s house about Personal Agents That Give You Superpowers.

Also Krystyna assembled a KOL panel at Cookie Marketers’ House & asked questions we marketers think but don’t always ask.

Top 6 things to takeaway:

Commutecore: The True Token2049 Meta

If you didn’t spend 60% of your day stuck in a Careem, did you even attend Token2049?

  • Side events were scattered all over Dubai, often 30+ minutes apart

  • Traffic was peak clownery

Somebody said events should all be within a 5km radius next year and honestly? We agree. Let’s stop doing cardio just to shake hands.

IRL > Pitch Decks

Across the board, people said the same thing: they’re tired of the speed-dating circus.

They’d rather:

  • Sit down for one deep convo than pitch 27 times in a row

  • Finally meet mutuals they’ve only DM’d with for 8 months

  • Eat hummus and close a deal in the same hour (multitasking excellence)

So if you’re organizing the next big event? Let’s take that into consideration

Dubai, You’re Weird but We love It

Some final thoughts on the city itself:

  • You’ll find a mall with a ski slope, an ice rink, a Chanel store, and a Starbucks, within 100 feet of each other

  • It’s too hot to walk. Like, actually. If you try, you will evaporate.

  • But the food? Banger after banger.

PS: Marketers’ House Was a Hit

We hosted our own event Marketers’ House and it slapped, not to brag. Think zero cringe, high signal, comfy seats, and honest convos about what’s working now in Web3 marketing.

Let’s just run the numbers real quick:

  • 1170 people registered

  • 50kg of merch flew in (our gym bags still hurt)

  • Panels had real alpha

Amid the bustling conference, Marketers' House emerged as a sanctuary for marketing professionals.

Our personal favourite moments

  • Morning Yoga to realign your chakras

  • Our CMO’s fire outfit

  • wholesome networking moments

  • somebody lost their child on our stage

We wanna stay a really big thank you to anyone one who showed up and everyone we met , the vibes were immaculate.
