🚩 5 Red Flags to Spot a Bottled KOL

Not all KOLs are created equal. Some are basically hype machines with fake engagement, bots, or, worse—no real community at all.

Here are the 5 biggest red flags 🚩 to look out for so you don’t end up paying for a marketing mirage:

• 🚩 Promoting 20 new coins every week : You notice the KOL shilling a different project every other day? Big ick. Constant hopping is totally a red flag.

• 🚩 Sus over the top replies (or lack of replies): ever scroll through KOL’s posts and all you see are generic hype comments like “🚀🚀 To the moon!!”? Or worse—huge accounts with no meaningful replies at all? It’s a red flag.

  Authentic engagement comes with real conversation. No replies = no actual community.

• 🚩 Metrics spike right after posting: if the KOL posts and their metrics (likes, retweets, views) surge instantly, you should pause. Unless a major account retweeted them, organic engagement takes time.

  Very sus behavior. 

• 🚩 Too consistent engagement across all posts: do their views, likes, and retweets look eerily similar no matter what they’re posting about? Yeah… not a good sign my friend. Real engagement fluctuates.

  If everything looks too smooth and perfect, you’ve got a problem.

• 🚩Few mutual Followers in your Industry: if this "huge" account has barely any mutual followers in your niche, something’s off. A legit KOL will have a community of followers who overlap with other respected names in your industry.
