It’s time
A much needed update
Heyy there,
My feed has been overflowing with InfoFi this past week, so let’s talk about it.
We all believed in InfoFi: the idea that attention could be rewarded as an asset class, not just rented through ads.
And the thesis was right. Distribution is the moat. Narratives do move markets. It’s been proven through countless campaigns and projects.
Don’t believe me? Check out how Almanak turned attention Into $35M+ in TVL.
I'm not here to say that infoFi is dead ( like some people). I look at data every day, and it ain’t going anywhere.
But as the model grew, so did the problems.
Everyone felt it: creators, founders, analysts, even CT lurkers. And so did we. As core contributors in the cookie ecosystem, we received tons of feedback that quality wasn’t being rewarded. Metrics were inflated. Incentives drifted.
And so we stopped. Listened. And we hit reset.
Cookie SNAPS worked until the space outgrew the original rules.
We heard the same feedback:
“Good creators are being overshadowed by farmers.”
“Posting is rewarded more than influence.”
“Leaderboards don’t reflect reality.”
But here’s the truth no one likes to say out loud:
InfoFi didn’t create low-quality creators.
It just exposed them
That’s precisely why this update had to happen.
Not to reward more activity, but to reward the right activity.
So instead of adding patches, we did the only thing that made sense:
We listened to the community, and we fixed the algo.
-> SNAPS is now Mindshare, a scoring model built around outcomes, not output. Not who posts the most. Who moves the most.
-> Capital Mindshare cSNAPS evolved to capital mindshare a more accurate version to measure now capital and influence are linked
-> The Leaderboard Just Got Teeth Anti-farming is now part of the infrastructure, not a moderation effort.
Flagged accounts lose Mindshare automatically
Repeat offenders get slashed to zero
High-risk users temporarily lose earning ability
And many more updates :
And as expected, people noticed and were happy with the changes
And our community loved it
What This Means for Projects
This is no longer “a creator rewards tool.”
Cookie SNAPS is now the performance layer for creator-led distribution in crypto.
Cohorts become measurable, and Narrative lift becomes visible, comparable, and repeatable.
Attribution goes from “vibes” to “data”
Attention stops being subsidized and starts being earned.
And despite what CT doomers say, creator-driven attention is far from dead, it’s still one of the most effective awareness engines in the space.
The Bottom Line
InfoFi wasn’t wrong.
It was early, and the system underneath it wasn’t ready.
This update fixes that.
The farmer era is over.
The outcome era starts now.
