embarrassing, even for you
“I’m not farming!”

There’s a special place in digital hell for farmers.
You know the ones, 34 tweets a minute, 300 campaigns on their profile, chatgpt, and the fucking audacity.
And somehow, they always think they’re the main characters.
This week, we’re talking about farming, the people who swear they’re not doing it (they are), and why the Cookie algorithm has finally had enough.
Oh and yes, we’re explaining mindshare too, because the DMs are getting unhinged.
Welcome back to my yap sessions holiday season edition where the only thing getting slashed is farmers.
Let’s start strong
“I’m not farming!”
Yes. You f*cking are.
I sometimes help our social media manager, and every week someone pops up like:
“No bro trust me I post like this normally im not farming.”
Sure.
And I normally run marathons before breakfast. tf
When you use ChatGPT for your whole thread (and badly, I might add), add zero value whatsoever, like literally none, participate in 300 campaigns at the same damn time, farm your engagement with bots, copy paste the same thread 17 times,
you’re farming and the algorithm can SEE YOU.
Because the Cookie algo is not your sweet summer child.
It doesn’t just track engagement numbers; it reads behavior.
posting behavior tracking
originality scoring
engagement pattern analysis
spam detection
AI slop classifiers
boost-ring signals
farming likelihood scores
manual review options
We’re not babysitting grown adults. We’re protecting an ecosystem.
Please don’t embarrass yourself by denying it.
Don’t take us for dummies.
Why farmers hate this update (And why we love it)
With our latest update, the algorithm basically said:
“Enough. BE GONE.”
We slashed a ton of farming accounts.
Not because we’re mean (maybe I am), but because farmers distort incentives and ruin campaigns for everyone else.
Now?
Quality > Quantity.
Creators who actually:
write original content
offer genuine insights
produce memes with actual comedic timing
don’t vomit 20 posts an hour
…are rising to the top.
Meanwhile, farmers are sitting there like:
“Why is my mindshare going down even though I tweeted 493 times today???”
Which brings us to…
Mindshare is NOT how loud you shout.
It’s how much of the total conversation you contribute relative to others.
Total conversation = 100% mindshare.
If more people join the convo, your % might drop
That’s it.
It’s a group project where your grade depends on who else showed up, welcome to hell.
Imma explain it in terms that you might understand
Week 1:
You make two posts.
You’re the only one posting.
Congrats, you are Beyoncé.
You have 100% mindshare.
Week 2:
Someone else joins the convo.
You go from Beyoncé to Beyoncé sharing a stage with a backup dancer.
Your mindshare drops.
You cry.
This is normal.
Week 3:
Five more people join.
Some of them are actually funny.
Some write threads like they’re defending a thesis.
Suddenly your mindshare drops AGAIN.
Do you suck?
No.
Are you shadowbanned?
No.
Is the algorithm bullying you?
Also no.
There are just more people talking than last week. Your slice of the pie got smaller because the pie got bigger.
More creators joining → the pie gets bigger → your slice changes.
This is not personal. It’s math. (And if math hurts your feelings, I get it. Same.)
Mindshare ≠ How hard you worked
It’s how much attention you hold relative to everyone else who also wants attention.
Only the most interesting survive.
The only time mindshare slashes hurt?
When you’re farming.
When you're doing weird repetitive posting.
When your engagement looks… suspicious.
When AI slop pours out of your account like a busted pipe.
If you read this and feel personally attacked?
Good. Reflect.
I rest my case your honour.
Cookie campaigns attract real KOLs.
Not:
airdrop hunters
Discord grinders
“engagement groups”
serial farmers
people whose entire personality is “retweet for airdrop”
But actual creators who:
build narratives
write threads with structure
explain your product better than your own docs
attract meaningful eyeballs
aren’t just farming KPIs for dopamine
When we say quality > quantity, we mean it.
You get:
macro KOLs
mid-tier analysts
niche experts
Funny peeps
multilingual amplifiers
All competing to push your narrative to the top.
To the farmers: stop embarrassing yourself
To the real creators:
We see you. We appreciate you. And we built this update FOR YOU.
To the projects watching: This is why Cookie works. Not because of volume ( although 200K active creators ain’t nothing) but because of signal.
Our ecosystem rewards:
originality
insight
creativity
narrative leadership
Not spam.
Anyways,
Had to let this out of my chest
